THE MAGIC IN YOU AND ME

The world weighs heavily on our shoulders,

Our future sometimes looks dark and forlorn.

But we are blessed with a human spirit,

That can create a rainbow in a storm.

The trials and tribulations we all face,

Can test the mettle of the biggest tree.

But we can easily overcome problems

When we use the magic in you and me.

When evil threatens all that you possess

And fortune casts a blind eye your way,

Be comforted with that inner glowing

That safely lights up your path each day.

It's the magic in you and me

That keeps all of our spirits free.

It's the magic in you and me,

That takes us where we want to be.

It's the magic in you and me

That creates what we want to see.

It's the magic in you and me

That trades life for eternity.

Dismiss the negatives of naysayers,

Shoo-off the criers, whiners, and closed-minds;

Because of the magic in you and me,

We are only beginning our best times.
